T Salon is a tea shop and lounge in Chelsea Market which also serves tea infused food. It’s a large and open space, and I was interested to learn that their lovely light fixtures are made of used tea bags! But the point of this afternoon was to learn how to make tea infused tapenades […]
(this photo: Michael Angelo for Michael Angelo’s Wonderland Beauty Parlor) At the Eater Blogger Lounge Metromix was interviewing bloggers covering the NYC Wine and Food Fest. Of course I obliged. They also photographed me in a beauty chair at Michael Angelo’s Wonderland Beauty Parlor. Sweet! Click here to read!
I’ve been waiting a long time for this event and it did not disappoint! It took place in a huge event hall way on the west side with several softly lit champagne lounges and one long dark hall flanked with the best pastry chefs NYC has to offer turning out their signature sweets. In other […]
The grand tasting was fun, but had a lot less in the sweets arena than I was expecting, perhaps because of the Sweet event, they focused mostly on savories. But there was still a lot of good food (and beverages) to be had and I found some sweet spots. Here is the insane Target Choxie […]
I thought this would be a casual mingling event, but it was more like an intensive class where each person had a set of ten wines and ten matched cheeses to taste. It was led by Liz Thorpe, VP of Murray’s Cheese and I’d recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more on cheese and […]
The Eater Blogger lounge, at MILK Studios is a nice semi-enclosed area where reporters and bloggers can relax, network, and update. I just got back from the Grand Tasting and it was fun and I am (predictably) really full. I’ll have way more detail and photos to upload soon, just wanted to indulge in a […]
I just got back from the Chelsea Market After Dark event (hosted by Bobby Flay) and it was a blast! I love Chelsea Market anytime and this was a special opportunity to see it a little more behind the scenes, meet the people behind the food, and to try some of the spots I’ve never […]
I managed to get tickets for some excellent looking events at the NYC Wine and Food Festival. I’m especially psyched to check out the SWEET party, the biggest dessert bash in the city! Tonight I check out Chelsea Market After Dark and will be posting pictures and comments throughout the festival.
The Chocolate Show is coming to NYC this week and I am very excited! I went last year and had a total blast. I recommend it to all NYC chocolate lovers. Some tips : -Pre-buy tickets or try to go Friday night or early on the other days because lines can be long. -Bring a […]
I attended the Atlantic Antic today. So fun! I love seeing all of the local restaurants and stores exhibiting and also listening to the live music. It’s a great chance to learn about local vendors (both sweet and savory) that I haven’t checked out yet. I brought my camera and got some good shots of […]
If you’re in NYC and have the chance I recommend checking out the Japan C event at Felissimo Design House (10 West 56th Street, New York City ). “A rolling eleven week exhibition of all things Japanese. Spanning home and fashion accessories to gadgets, food, beauty and pop-culture products, Japan C is part design exhibition, […]
More political sweets. Here are some lovely cupcakes from Eleni’s! I like their black and whites best (chocolate with white frosting).
