Tonight I had the pleasure of attending the launch party for a new cookbook, The Craft of Baking by Karen DeMasco. It was an elegant event at Locanda Verde with sample versions of the recipes inside the book. Everything was delicious but here are a few of my favorites.
Spiced Apple Cider Jellies. These were not too sweet and had a great cider flavor that fit in well with the season.
Apple Fritters, these were pretty addictive and I was surprised to see that the recipe includes beer!
Concord Grape Tart, this may have been my favorite, the concord grapes brought such a strong burst of fruitiness, I could definitely go for a full sized version of this!
Pine Nut Tart and Chocolate Custard Tart!
Pecan Shortbread Cookies!
Grandma Rankin’s Cashew Brittle!
All in all, everything was delicious and had a slightly tweaked comfort food vibe that I liked. Click below to purchase it!
