Japan’s Plastic Food at Kappabashi-dori!

I’ve featured them a few times here, but I can’t get enough of the plastic food replicas (called sampuru) so common in Japan! When we were there in November, I made my first visit to Kappabashi-dori, Tokyo’s restaurant supply street. It’s also where several of the sampuru shops are. So cool! Here are some pictures I took. It was a bit pricier than I was anticipating, but I’m already regretting not buying a mini parfait. Next time for sure!

I love the high piles of spaghetti!

All kinds of soup!

Onigiri, yum!

Sushi, so colorful!

The ever popular soft serve ice cream.

Parfaits! My fave!

Lovely crepes.

Keychains and mini foods!

A really cute storefront!

I can’t wait to go back!
