Here’s something really nice I had in Osaka at a shop called Ceylon Tea & Bread. They served my Earl Grey tea in a press with a timer and the tart was scrumptious!

Wow, I love the train bentos in Japan! This is another area where the Japanese just have it way better than we do in the U.S. food-wise.

On a recent trip to Washington, DC, I made a visit to Baked and Wired, an excellent spot for sweets and coffee in the Georgetown neighborhood. As you may gather from the shop’s name (and the cupcake sign from the above photo) this shop isn’t your typical cutesy-pie bakery!

  On my trip to Toronto last weekend, I got to check out a few places and noticed Butter Tarts as a recurring theme. I’ve never seen them in NYC and was psyched to try something new!

As doughnuts are part of Chanukah tradition I thought I’d post a bonus sketch I did based on one of my book tour stops in Portland, OR. The Voodoo Doughnut!

The Dolltopia Cupcake Tour was kicked off this weekend at Small Press Expo in North Bethesda, Maryland! After researching I found only one nearby bakery that would deliver, which was a necessity at this tour stop. So Cake Love it was!
