The City Sweet Tooth

Last night, I got the chance to attend a release party put on in a collaboration with Eat Drink Jobs for the latest book from the Baked team, Baked Elements! I’m a longtime fan of Baked (check out my comic here) and was excited to check out the event at Broadway Panhandler.

This week I had the pleasure of meeting talented dessert artist Jessie Oleson (aka Cakespy) in person when she had a signing at baked (one of my fave Brooklyn bakeries, comic here)!

I’ve been informed that December 8th is National Brownie day! Brownies are one of my favorite sweets, so to celebrate I’ve put together a list of what I think are the TOP 5 NYC BROWNIES!

Here’s my newest comic on Baked a Brooklyn fave! If you can’t make it to Red Hook you can get their goods from Royale Bakery in the Village or Tazza in Brooklyn Heights!

I ordered cupcakes for my first NYC signing (at Rocketship in Brooklyn) from baked! They were SO good! I ordered a dozen “Sweet & Salty” and a dozen “Red Hook Red Hot”. Both were delicious and unique.
