City Sweet Tooth’s Current Favorite Ice Creams!
Since July 17th is Ice Cream Day and July is also Ice Cream Month (cheesecake and ice cream, could this be the best month ever?) I thought I’d post about some of my current favorite ice creams!
Palm Sugar ice cream from Van Leeuwen Artisan Ice Cream. VLAIC has been all over the City with their trucks and storefronts. I’ve been hitting them up lately a lot for their Palm Sugar ice cream. Made with heritage palm sap, it’s sweet with an almost maple syrup-like, malty undertone. Original and a bit addictive. See my comic about their truck here!
Green Tea ice cream from Chinatown Ice Cream Factory. I love Chinatown Ice Cream Factory, and my go to flavor is always the green tea. It’s so light and refreshing. Classic. Read my comic about them here!
Coolhaus Ice Cream sandwiches. So far I’ve only tried a few of these, but I’ve been won over by their interesting ice cream flavor choices (Beer and Pretzels, Mexican Chocolate, and Pistachio Truffle to name a few) and their excellent, soft cookies made by Ovenly (Double Chocolate Cookie with Sea Salt is fantastic).
(Note – this list does not include gelatos, that’s a whole other category of deliciousness!)
