The City Sweet Tooth

Last Tuesday night I attended a special ice cream social at the Hudson St. location of Jacques Torres! It was to celebrate the introduction of several exciting new ice cream flavors, just in time for the hot weather too!

On the left side is the Sweet Corn and on the right is Carrot & Celery. It may seem like a strange ice cream choice, but the Carrot & Celery was really fabulous. It stayed true to the essence of the vegetables but the sweet creaminess of the ice cream really made it come together for a fun Summer flavor! The Sweet Corn was also really nice, fans of kettle corn and corn chowder will love it.

On the left side is the Port Wine ice cream. Hands down, my favorite of all the new flavors! It had a rich wine flavor while still tasting light and creamy. Next to it is Cucumber Mint Sorbet, very refreshing! Then there is the Carrot & Celery and Sweet Corn. I also tried the new Frozen Yogurt which is pictured at the top of this post with a berry compote topping. Yum!

In addition to the new flavors his classic were available too. Wicked has that spicy kick!

What a toppings bar! Don’t forget to get some ice cream next time you go to Jacques Torres!
