Dec. 8th is National Brownie Day! NYC’s Top 5 Brownies!
I’ve been informed that December 8th is National Brownie day! Brownies are one of my favorite sweets, so to celebrate I’ve put together a list of what I think are the TOP 5 NYC BROWNIES!
1) Mari’s New York – Her “Classic” is very good, but she also makes some other amazing flavors. My faves are “Caramel Sea Salt” and “Heat”. They are bite sized and sold in very elegant gift packs. Mari’s is available online and reported to have a stand at the Limelight Market place soon.

2) Kyotofu – I love, LOVE, their Miso Choco Brownies. Bite sized, round, moist, and delicious. They also put together lovely gift boxes and can be bought in store or online. Must try! Kyotofu – 705 9 Avenue, NYC.

3) baked – You just can’t go wrong with baked’s brownies (and other sweets!). Their Original and Sweet & Salty rock my world! Can be found at baked’s Brooklyn location, Royale Bakery, and Tazza in Brooklyn among other places. Baked – 359 Van Brunt St, Brooklyn, NY.

4) Fat Witch Bakery – A great place to get brownies and they’re available in regular or small “witch baby” size! They also have a variety of flavors, I favor the original “Fat Witch” flavor. Can be purchased online as well. Fat Witch Bakery – (Chesea Market) 75 9th Ave, NYC.

5) One Girl Cookies - Though cookies are their namesake I find their petite brownies to be divine and very affordable ( at $1)! One Girl Cookies – 68 Dean Street, Brooklyn, NY.

Bonus! – Another fave (though not based in NYC proper) is Heaven on Main Street. I actually like their “Vegan Boulder Brownies” better than the (still very good) non -vegan ones and they do take online orders! Happy brownie day!
