Chinatown Cake Club Highlights!
I got to attend this month’s Chinatown Cake Club, a private cake meet-up with cakes by Victoria Howe (the pastry chef of Macao Trading Company). It was a fun experience though it got pretty cramped at times. The cakes were fun and original and I was impressed with her choice of David Wojnarowicz for her featured artist cake!
David Wojnarowicz cake – devil’s food cake, filled with homemade citrus curd, chocolate mousse & covered in vanilla bean frosting.
Kaya Pandan Petit Fours – pandan chiffon cake filled with home made Malaysian kaya jam & topped with coconut cream.
Pink Lady Cake - two tiers of strawberry & vanilla cake, filled with whipped milk chocolate ganache & encased in homemade fondant.
