City Sweet Tooth in France: Angoulême!
I just got back from my first trip to France for the Angoulême Comic Festival and I made a stop in Paris on the way back! Here are some pictures I took at Angoulême!
These are from the amazing patisserie Parfums Sucrés in Angoulême:
Candied flower petals!
So many gorgeous pastries!
I thought this Macaron Tatin seemed really unique. Caramelized apples in a large macaron sandwich!
More beauties!
These are from Duceau Chocolaterie in Angoulême:
LOVED these Sesame Praline truffles!
Candied fruits, cookies, and cute chocolate bouquets!
These are from L’Atelier Du Chocolate De Bayonne in Angoulême:
They make a unique Hot Chocolate (or Chocolat Chaud) after making the hot drink, you get to pick any of their large selection of chocolate barks which they then melt into the drink and give you a spoon to enjoy it with! I picked the spicy chocolate shown below.
They also have a great selection of bouchee’ (like a very large truffle) so good! I especially liked the Banane below.
Also the Feuille (dark chocolate praline) was so good. Yum!
Next post : Paris!
