The City Sweet Tooth is a column in comic strip format that features profiles of New York City’s finest pastry shops, bakeries, cafes, and unique treats. One of the best things about living in New York is the availability of one of a kind (sometimes legendary) desserts and snacks. The column covers places both new and old, famous and less well-known. Those who know me know I love New York and I love sweets, so this a dream project! The City Sweet Tooth has appeared bi-weekly in the NYC local digest, The L Magazine, from 2008-2009 and my illustrations have appeared in edible Manhattan, edible East End, and edible Brooklyn. Abby Denson is the creator of The City Sweet Tooth and the Lulu Award-winning author of the graphic novel Tough Love: High School Confidential. She has scripted Powerpuff Girls Comics, Simpsons Comics, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Josie and the Pussycats, Disney Adventures, and comics for Nickelodeon Magazine.
