(image via Sasso Candy) Every once in a while, a company will send me items to review. This time, I received some Sasso Candy Bars from Sasso Candy Company in California’s Bay Area.
I’m back from my latest Japan trip, and I picked up some new Kit-Kats! This time around, I got Purple Potato, Pumpkin Pudding, Rum Raisin, and Yokohama Strawberry Cheesecake.
I loved the candied fruits in Japan. Like candy apples, but with grapes, blueberries, and oranges too!
Here’s a quick shot from Heavenly Cupcake where we got to make a quick stop before leaving San Diego Comic Con. Also Darlene of My Burning Kitchen gave me some yummy Jer’s candy bars (based in the San Diego area), which both feature peanut butter! I just love chocolate and peanut butter together. This being my second Fancy Food Show, I learned from last year and started from the lower floor where there were more sweets and less chance of being distracted by all the (seemingly thousands of) different types of cheeses and olives on the third floor. Now that’s what I call a real cheese cake!
I recently made a trip to England and Scotland and took a few sweets pics for your enjoyment!
For those who observe Passover, kosher for Passover candy can bring a lot of fond memories. Raspberry jelly rings, macaroons, fruit slices, that Barton’s chocolate you were encouraged to sell to your elders every year (just like girl scout cookies!).
Here are some pics from the extravaganza that Global Giving Circle put on this past Saturday. It was an amazing event with a huge turnout and I got to enjoy many different chocolate items, many old faves and some new flavors too! For instance these Balsamic truffles from Donna & Company:
